A 6-hour car and walking tour visiting the city that was for many centuries the capital of the Italian state and the most interesting archeological site in the world
Itinerary: Car pick-up at your hotel in the area of Rome, Naples and all over the Amalfi Coast, transfer to the old district of the city. Naples is today considered the third largest city in Italy and is one of the loveliest natural settings in all of Europe. The city is endowed with a superb heritage of monuments and artistic collections, plus a variety of panoramic views, the mild weather and the gentle breeze constitute an attraction that draws visitors from all over the world. At first we'll visit the most typical sights in town taking you to the central section of the city where the quarters have survived many blazes, air raids and earthquakes. In spite of that, Naples hasn’t lost yet its picturesque and friendly ambience. It offers a great bay with nice views of Capri and the Ischia Island, magic and artistic monuments like Castel Nuovo, Palazzo Reale, Teatro San Carlo, Museo Archeologico Nazionale, Museo and Gallerie Capodimonte as well as many precious churches of the Campanian province. We’ll then drive to Pompeii, the city that was buried by Mount Vesuvius’eruption in 79 AD where you enjoy a three hour walking tour*among the ruins of the most important archeological site in the world.
